How do I get to my profile page?
You can either login and click your username in the upper right hand corner, or you can visit your site directly at http://[url].isbornyet.com where [url] is the url that the user registered with.
How do I announce my baby's birth?
When you are on your profile page, click "Edit Your Profile" in the upper right hand corner and click "Baby is born!" Then follow the instructions on the next page.
What if I haven't picked a baby name yet?
No worries, put down your last name and perhaps the number child it is, like "smith2." Then at a later point you can change the name.
Do I own my domain name?
Unfortunately, no we own the domain. We don't plan on removing domains at this time. However, in the future there might be a need to clean up un used or old domains (2 years after your baby's birth, or 3 years after registration). This is what helps us keeps our service free, and allows URLs to be reused by people who might share the same name. Should this be the case, we will notify you via email.
How can I upload a picture of my baby?
There are 2 ways to upload a picture; during registration, via your profile page (mouse over your current image, or choose 'Update Your Picture' from the 'Edit Your Profile' tab).
If I see an image that is inappropriate can I report it?
Yes, on the users profile page, and on the photo viewer page there are links to report an image that you feel inappropriate.
Can I change my domain name?
Nope.
After registration I noticed I have gifts in my gift registry that I didn't add, why is this?
We have found popular items on Amazon that new parents like you have purchased. We add a few of these to your list to help get you started.
Where do I update my profile?
When you are logged in, go to your homepage and click "Edit Your Profile" in the upper right hand corner. There you will have the option to update your profile, baby information, birth announcement, and gift registry.
I marked my baby's sex and/or baby name as private, however I still see it. Why?
We let you see it because you are the account owner, but it is only visible to you.
What if I don't want my profile on the homepage?
This is currently not an issue because that specific feature on the site is not fully implemented.
Where do I go to update my privacy settings if I don't want my profile on the home page?
Update your profile via the 'Edit Your Profile' link in the upper left hand corner on your baby's page.
Do I have to use Twitter or Facebook?
Nope, just some suggestions to help you spread the good news.
I can't access my account. What's wrong?
Double check that your username and/or password is correct. Assuming that it is, please contact us explaining what happened, and if you have an error message for us, that would be great too!
Uh Oh, I forgot my password, now what?
Click the 'Login' tab, at the bottom of the box you will see a link labeled 'Forgot Password'. Click it, then follow the following intructions
How can I create a birth announcement when I haven't even given birth yet?
Check out our Birth Announcement section (under the "Edit Your Profile" section).
Can I cancel my IsBornYet.com account?
Yep! Just forget about it, and after 2 years we will deactivate your page.
If I selected "Yes, baby is born!" by accident, can I undo it?
Sure thing, just go back to the "Edit Your Profile" section on your homepage and choose "Change Birth Status."
How can I change/add a profile image?
Well right now we don't support adding your own image, however it will be arriving in the near future.
Can I block others from seeing my page?
No you can't.
Why can I only type certain letters into my URL?
We only allow letters A - Z, numbers 0 - 9, and underscores.
Why can I not type the '@' symbol in my username?
We allow you to have any username you want, however we can't allow the '@' symbol. The reason for this is so we may maintain the functionality for users to log in with either their username or their email
